With less than two months left for the 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, being celebrated with great devotion and fervour from November 1 to November 12, the State Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) not leaving any stone unturned to make the gala event at Sultanpur Lodhi a huge success.
Divulging the details, Additional Director DIPR Senu Duggal said that to make the younger generation aware about the life and teachings of Guru Sahib besides educating them about the History, Biography and Four Udasis (Spiritual Tours) of the First Sikh Guru, the department has got prepared a special series of four episodes dedicated to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which will be broadcasted on Television Channels and other online platforms.
She said that apart from the television series, the department has also got recorded twelve one-minute videos from different Gurdwaras— established on sites visited by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji including Kartarpur Sahib, Nankana Sahib, Panja Sahib, Kurukshetra, Delhi, Haridwar, Pakistan, Orissa, Rajasthan and Sri Lanka— explains the importance of that place. She said that these videos are being widely shared on social media platforms and are also advertised on the National and Regional channels.
Additional Director further said that the Public Relations Department is fully geared up for the Gala Event dedicating to the Sri Guru Nanak Dev on his 550th Birth Anniversary and leaving no stone unturned to invite people across the World.
The Public Relations department has installed over thousand of hoardings across the country including every city, town and village of the Punjab state, Delhi and Mumbai Airports,Metro Station and Metro Duct Panels in Delhi to invite the Sangat to attend the gala event at Sultanpur Lodhi from November 1 to 12, this year.
Duggal said that several invite videos are being publicised on LED screens installed at Heritage Street and Wagah Border in Amritsar and Connaught Place in Delhi besides audio invites on FMs are being broadcasted in cities like Patna Sahib, Paunta Sahib, Manikaran Sahib, Hemkunt Sahib Etc.
She said that to reach the Sikh diaspora across the World all the activities, videos and invite messages are being circulated on all the social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook.
